In addition to the difference at forward, the Rangers are dressing 4 regular defenders while we are dressing 2. And one of them is Lovejoy so there's that.... But it looks like Severson should play.

I wonder if we'll eventually find out that Severson ran over Hynes's dog and that's why he can't get out of the doghouse.

To be fair the Rangers against the Islanders dressed Graves, Pionk and Kampfer vs the Islanders. Along with dressing bubble players like Holden and Deangelo.

At least this game will be televised

He'll in all likelihood make the team. IDK he'll play every night though. I just can't see AV sitting Staal and Holden.

Yup, hopefully Hayes doesn't see too much time. At 3:1 odds i'm banking on NJD. Nuts to pass on these preseason underdogs. Any team can win right now.

It's preseason so it's all fine and it's good to see our kids against a decent lineup if you want to really evaluate them. Just hope it doesn't get ugly.

That said, I'd rather ice the stronger lineup when we are home Saturday. I was just comment on our weak D pairings since Todd pointed out the difference at forwards.

Devils are pretty thin at RW so they are going to give Hayes a real chance to show something. If he doesn't they'll likely pluck someone off the waiver wire again ala PAP.

Right? Turned 200 into 800 on that washington game. now to let er ride and see if I can cash in 2400. haha preseason is a joke. To all other degenerates out there, take the overs throughout preseason and first couple weeks or regular season. strong winning % year after year. Scoring generally slows along with the season. Weird trend but capitalize.

Sounds good, but it would be helpful if they could find someone who's a Czech to work with Zacha, and durable enough to play an entire 82 game season. It would be a bonus to get someone who's played in NJ before so they know the area and the team. To bad there is nobody like that available....

We need more than that. We need Hischier to be a star and we need at least one of McLeod and Zacha to be bonafide 1st liners.

McLeod with Pietila and Hayes has to be the most depressing thing I've seen from this team aside from the jerseys lol. You're going to put what you hope to be a talented 2nd line forward.. with permanent fringe 4th line scrubs.
